We are all spending more time indoors which happens to be the perfect opportunity to do some of our favorite at-home activities. From audiobooks to family game nights, there are endless ways to fill indoor time. When we are cooped up inside, here are our favorite at-home activities.
Exercise is one of the best ways to stay energized, active, and refreshed. Exercise can help boost your immune system and aids in maintaining good mental health by giving your mind and body time to connect.
Watch a Favorite Show
Watching a favorite show (or two) provides fun entertainment and can be a nice way to unwind. If you’ve already finished your favorite show and need some new ideas, sign up for Netflix’s email list for personal recommendations on what to watch. You’ll also be the first to know of any new Netflix shows or movies that are coming soon.
Talk on the Phone With a Good Friend
Not many experiences can top connecting with a good friend. Talking on the phone with a friend allows time and space to reflect, empathize, and just have fun. Bonus points if you get to use FaceTime for your friend date!
Listen to an Audio Book
Listening to an audio book is one of our favorite ways to peacefully relax at home. There are so many types of audio books available. You can choose topics based on your mood, interests, or even a new skill you want to learn. Hoopla and Audible are two of our favorite audio book apps with thousands of titles available to stream or download.
Spend Quality Time With Family
Spending quality indoor time with family is a connection opportunity especially when there are not many options for going out. What creates quality time will look different for everyone so choose those activities that really stimulate the relationships within your family. Maybe this is reading aloud together in the living room, watching a movie, or having a pizza making party. Whatever gets you and your clan excited to be together, do that.

Listen to or Play Music
Listening to music brings experiences to life right in our living rooms. If you want to expand your music horizons, try a new playlist on Spotify (like our Our Must-Listen-To Spring Playlist) or listen to a radio station you haven’t before. If you happen to play an instrument, pull out some new music for a stimulating challenge.
There are so many ways to be creative with at-home activities. Trying something you haven’t done before is a great place to start. Maybe you’ve always wanted to paint, or maybe there’s a new cocktail recipe you’ve been eyeing. Or maybe you want to revamp your furniture placement and try a new living room or bedroom layout. The possibilities are endless. Remember that all we truly have is today, and today is the perfect opportunity to be creative.
