Eleven years ago John Maher (a.k.a Petaluma Pete) found himself 40 miles north of San Francisco in the historic town of Petaluma. After immediately falling in love with this city, John and his wife decided to move from southern California and call Petaluma their home. Over the past eleven years John and his wife have become invaluable members of the Petaluma community and have truly poured their hearts into lifting up the families and organizations of this city. John reminds us that “If you don’t try it isn’t going to happen.” He reminds us to believe that we can make a difference.
