The Oversized Sweater

Welcome to The Art of Fashion, the space where I share the pieces I love and the styles that help me express who I am. I believe that fashion is not about the latest trends or who wore what. Fashion is about allowing yourself to feel beautiful, and finding the pieces and styles that are a representation of your inner beauty and who you are.

Happy Winter! It may be a new year, but for many of us winter is still in full swing with cold days, snow, and chilly winds. It is the perfect time to wear big chunky sweaters, your favorite jeans, and tall boots.

The oversized sweater has been my go-to piece this season. This Free People sweater is bright and comfortable, and thanks to its high-quality knit it is warm and cozy. An oversized sweater is a good investment piece. Look for one that is high quality and worth the price tag as it will get a lot of use. And if it is well made, it will last through many winter seasons.

Now, this sweater is not just oversized, it is bright and bold! I must admit that I almost did not purchase the piece because I wasn’t sure if my small frame could handle such a large sweater plus such a bright color. But sometimes you have to take a risk and try something different. And I am so happy I did! This sweater is a perfect expression of my love of being cozy, my love of color, and my love for high quality pieces.

This winter let’s take time to be cozy and warm. Let’s take time to be intentional about the clothes we wear and how they make us feel. Are we wearing something we love? Does the piece make us feel beautiful, comfortable, and true to ourselves? Whether you opt for an oversized sweater, a sweatshirt, or a faux fur coat, don’t be afraid to be you.

Do you have a favorite winter sweater? Tell me in the comments!
