It’s that time of year again! Time to snuggle up in a cozy blanket with a warm drink and watch your favorite holiday films. Here’s our list of top 10 holiday films to watch this Christmas season.


Elf

This classic holiday film follows Buddy, a human raised by elves, as he navigates New York city in search of his real father, and in the process spreads Christmas spirit throughout the whole town.

It’s A Wonderful Life

Directed by Frank Capra and released in 1946, It’s A Wonderful Life takes us on a journey through the life of George Bailey, a small-town businessman who, with the help of an angel experiences what life would be like if he had never been born. The film reminds us of how much each life truly matters and impacts those around us.

Toy Story

This beloved Pixar movie is the perfect holiday film with friendship front and center. It’s a story of putting differences aside and getting along no matter what you look like, sound like, or how old you are.

Home Alone

The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without watching Home Alone (at least once). While eight-year-old Kevin’s family is far away on Christmas vacation, he must protect their house from intruders as he is accidentally left home alone.

White Christmas

White Christmas is full of the sounds, sights, and festivities of the season. This well-loved film brings back memories of classic Christmas music and old fashioned entertainment with big musical numbers and intimate dance routines. A must watch family film for this holiday season.

Frozen

Follow the adventures of Olaf, Anna, and Kristoff as they journey to save their hometown from infinite winter and find what love truly looks likes along the way.

The Muppet Christmas Carol

A fun take on a classic Charles Dickens novel, The Muppet Christmas Carol is a heartfelt story of a stingy businessman who finds the true meaning of Christmas and caring through a series of ghost encounters that leave him a new and generous man.

The Family Man

The Family Man is a story of heart over material things, and love and friendship over wealth. Jack Campbell, a single investment broker, wakes up to find himself not in his fancy New York apartment, but rather in a modest suburban home with a wife and children as he experiences what his life could have been.

Miracle On 34th Street (1994)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966)

The tale of a Who with a heart two sizes too small, How The Grinch Stole Christmas! is a lovable tale of a bitter outcast who tries to steal Christmas from the Whos of Whoville. Yet, the Grinch is in for a surprise on Christmas morning when things do not turn out quite as he planned.

    Another one of our family favs is "Christmas with the Kranks" with Tim Allen based on the book "Skipping Christmas." It is hilarious. He is great in "The Santa Clause" one and two as well.
