Welcome to L’Art De La Mode, the space where I share the pieces I love and the styles that speak to me and help me express who I am or what I am feeling. believe that fashion is not about the latest trends or who wore what. Fashion is about allowing yourself to feel beautiful, and finding the pieces and styles that are a representation of your inner beauty and who you are.

This month’s look is inspired by the basics, using pieces that fulfill this role in a fun and unusual way. Check out this month’s featured brands below!

Featured Brand
  • BCBG – Sweater
  • Levi’s – Skinny Jeans
  • Free People – Earrings
  • Mossimo – Printed Pumps
  • eport – Printed Flat
I love the sassy yet whimsical nature of this outfit. The fitted jeans pair comfortably with the off the shoulder sweater while the long champagne colored earrings and animal print pumps make this otherwise basic look sophisticated and fun. I also paired this look with printed flats to make it a little more casual but still chic. Though I am usually not the biggest fan of sparkles, I love the sparkly specks in this BCBG sweater! They are sewn into the fibers of the sweater instead of being placed on top of the fabric which makes these sparkles a little more grown up and stylish. The off the shoulder fit makes this look so much more fun than if it were a more classic sweater. This is a great example of how using one unusual piece can change the feel of your entire outfit! #inlove My Free People earrings are one of my favorite accessories right now. They are lightweight, visually interesting with their various chain lengths, and I am in love with the champagne color! The color is different, sophisticated, and even slightly fancy. I actually bought these online for such an amazing deal. I got these earrings for under $6 and they originally sold for over $20 at retail price. Free People online has some great deals so make sure to check their website every once in a while! Last but not least, we must talk about my Levi’s jeans! These skinny jeans are a true staple in my closet and worth the slightly higher price tag. Jeans that are comfortable, fit well, and also look stylish can be hard to find so I am so thankful I ended up trying these on. A quick tip for purchasing jeans, don’t settle for a pair that isn’t your perfect fit or is uncomfortable. It is just as important to be able to say no to a pair of jeans, as it is to say yes. If you like wearing jeans often, treat yourself to a high-quality pair that feels good on your body and makes you feel confident and beautiful in your skin. That is what fashion is about after all; wearing pieces that represent you. The next time you are out trying on pieces, remember to ask yourself, does this item make me feel beautiful? Does this piece help me express who I am? Every choice we make helps us become who we are, and is an opportunity for us to be intentional about how we look at and value ourselves. Fashion is just one of those choices. So, take a moment today and choose something that makes you feel beautiful and valuable, because you are worth it!
