Trendeing With Maternity Wear: Shop Maternity Wear Right In Your Closet

It’s a new year which means new experiences are just around the corner. Whether you are expecting a baby this year or are planning for children in the future, we want to help you shop your closet and stay on budget even with maternity wear. Check out Anh Dao’s saving tip at the bottom of this post for ideas on how to use the items you currently have as maternity wear.

Anh Dao’s outfit is perfectly situated to show off her baby bump. The midi black dress has plenty of stretch with a tightly fitted silhouette. The length of the dress works for the 2nd and 3rd trimester as it won’t get too short even as the baby grows. The sweater adds warmth, extra coverage, and a little bit of color to this elegant black ensemble. And though Anh Dao’s shoes are not flat, they are comfortable not-too-high wedges.

This maternity fashion comes to a budget friendly total of just over $40!

  • Dress $8.98
  • Sweater $8.98
  • Booties $25.00

TOTAL = $42.96

Anh Dao’s MATERNITY WEAR SAVING TIP

I am excited to share that my husband and I are expecting our first baby coming our way this spring! I am grateful for a healthy pregnancy so far and feeling great. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about all the changes that come with pregnancy, including changes my body would go through. But to my surprise, I have found the whole experience enjoyable and have even embraced the way I look during pregnancy.

If you’ve been following Trendeing With Anh Dao at all, you know I love good fashion along with a good old bargain price tag. Well, not much has changed since pregnancy! It is my goal to purchase as few maternity clothes as possible. You can make use of many pieces you already love right in your closet, helping you spend less money on very temporary maternity clothes. As your baby bump grows, categorize your items into two sections in your closet. One section with clothes that will fit comfortably as maternity wear and the other section with items you look forward to fitting back into after pregnancy. If you’re feeling extra motivated, you could go as far as categorizing pieces for second trimester and then third trimester of pregnancy. I am proud to say, I have not purchased one maternity wear item thus far. So trende on with your pregnancy glow on a budget!
